The Workflow Status Report shows that a user completed a step, but the user did not complete any workflow action for the assignment. Why?

JIDS automatically assigns certain workflow steps to the user in your compact office that appears first in your compact office user list. This can occur in 2 situations:

Email Notification Only Step

When a workflow step sends an email only, JIDS assigns the email step to the first user in your group. 

Overdue Step

When a workflow has a due date and that date passes, JIDS automatically completes the step and moves the file into the overdue step. When this occurs the system automatically selects the first user in your group for the task.
