Return for Failed Supervision - effective 1/14/2019
The Return for Failed Supervision workflow allows for the Receiving State’s ICJO to initiate the process for the return of a juvenile to their home state, whose supervision has failed in the receiving state.
The Receiving State compact office initiates the return in JIDS in the juvenile's existing transfer file.
The Sending State has 5 business days to return the juvenile. After the initial 5 business days, the Sending State can apply a 5 business day extension, if both state compact offices agree.
If the juvenile needs a Travel Plan, which is required to track airport surveillance at a third-party layover state, the Travel Plan is uploaded to the file and the new Travel Plan workflow is initiated separately.
